Uploading Medical Records

The PawPrintsID system allows the owner or their veterinarian to upload medical files for the pet. They can upload Medical Records, X-Rays, Rabies Documentation, and/or Vaccination Information. The entire process takes less than 5 minutes.

For the Owner:

1. They log into their account
2. They point at the menu option “Pet Info” and select one of the options:

X-rays
Medical Information
Rabies Information
Vaccination Information

Then they can select a PDF or JPG file to upload, enter a brief description for the file (Rover’s 07/2015 Checkup), and click Upload.

For the Veterinarian:

1. Go to the PawPrintsID Home Page
2. Click the menu option Login and select Vet Login
3. Enter the pet’s Tag Number and VetCode (see below for more information)
4. Click Login

The veterinarian can now select Medical Records, X-Rays, Rabies, or Vaccinations.

Then they can select a PDF or JPG file to upload, enter a brief description for the file (Rover’s 07/2015 Checkup), and click Upload.

What is a VetCode?

A VetCode is a password to a special area of PawPrintsID that allows veterinarians to upload medical records quickly and easily. The veterinarian does not have access to the owner’s account information nor can they delete/modify any information. The VetCode just allows veterinarians to upload medical files.

The VetCode can be found in two locations:

In the PawPrintsID packaging you will find a sticker with the code located on the bottom right of the cardboard insert. The cardboard insert is folded, has the tag glued to the front, and can be opened to find registration instructions and the VetCode stick on the bottom right.

The owner can simply log into their account and retrieve the VetCode by doing the following:

1. Log into their account
2. Point at the menu option “Account” and select View VetCode
3. The code is displayed at the bottom of the page
